With the objective of guaranteeing a better service to tourists, the Best Western Las Mercedes Hotel executed a million-dollar investment in its facilities.

Roberto Cruz Sequeira, the hotel’s General Manager, said “we have invested in lounge areas, rooms, environmentally friendly smart air conditioning systems, and audio visual equipment for corporate events and social events. Last year we also invested in the renovation of the kitchen and “La Pérgola Restaurant.”

The investment, which included the rehabilitation of the lobby, exceeds four million dollars.

“We have the ability to understand how the market is performing and what we should do, and we are always focused on our guests,” Cruz said.

“Nicaragua’s security is a privilege. Today we can visit all the regions of Nicaragua securely; Nicaragua is the safest country in Central America,” stated the General Manager.

He informed that the renovation project will be completed by the end of the year.

We are shaping the dream of the company, by renovating and being avant-garde, it is an important moment for us, we are making changes in infrastructure, services and logo, added Alejandra Peña, the hotel´s Marketing Manager.

The Best Western Las Mercedes Hotel, located across the street from the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport, is characterized by its focus on ecology, its lush vegetation, and beautiful gardens and green areas, which allow the guests to enjoy nature without leaving the city.

The infrastructure has more than 150 rooms, free wireless broadband internet access, a fully equipped gym, a relaxing massage room, business center services and several conference rooms, among other attractions.

As it approaches its 40th anniversary, Best Western Las Mercedes Hotel began a process of expansion of several of its areas, which costs over US$1 million.

The hotel, which is part of the Best Western franchise, announced through a press release that it began expanding the kitchen area and its restaurant; they also added that the renovation would include the facade, lobby, lounges and parking lot, as well as the revamping of its 180 rooms.

“The first stage of the construction represents an investment of approximately US$1 million and includes the remodeling of its convention center halls, which have top of the line new equipment with VRF technology (Variable Refrigerant Volume) and environmentally friendly air conditioning system,” states the press release.

Green Hotel

According to the press release, the renovation of the hotel will reinforce the “offer of ecological comfort” for its guests. The hotel, strategically located across the street from the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport, has a great extension of gardens, green areas and vegetation around its facilities.

“Best Western Las Mercedes Hotel, today like four decades ago, is the perfect place to enjoy nature without leaving the city,” added Roberto Cruz, the hotel’s General Manager.

Moreover, the press release adds that since 2011 the hotel offers a tourism alternative in the west of Nicaragua, through its branch in León.

By August of next year Best Western Hotel Las Mercedes expects to have finished the renovation project, with an investment of more than 3 million dollars, stated Samuel Santos, Chairman of the Hotel Board.

According to Santos, later this year they will have finished with the remodeling work in their restaurant and kitchen, which is being expanded and equipped with the best accessories.
